UI designs
RMData started with a focus on rugs and furniture but lacked a user-friendly interface, limiting its potential. The dashboard had issues with UI, information architecture, and user-centered design.
Next, I'll walk you through the improvements and new features we added.

Problems & Solutions
The product had issues with its UX but OK in functionality. A PIM app must efficiently manage products. For instance, adding products should be fast, easy, and comprehensive. Key aspects include the organization of attributes, menus, products, and information architecture (IA), as well as managing roles and their access levels.
Now, I will highlight some of these problems:
Vendor Problems

The product import wizard was lengthy and cumbersome, requiring users to complete all steps in one session.

The information architecture (IA) was poorly designed, making it difficult to locate items within categories.

Admins struggled to manage roles effectively because the system lacked support for various access levels and made log management challenging.
Retailer Problems

Users couldn't view products categorized as new arrivals, best sellers, discounts, etc.

They were unable to manage their subscription payments based on the number of vendors they wanted to connect with.

This issue was similar to problems faced by many vendors.
Vendor Solutions

We streamlined product addition by reducing steps and improving information architecture (IA), and added an auto-save feature for easy pausing and resumption.

After interviews and tests, we revamped the information architecture for all sections—product categories, navigation, subscriptions, and attributes—making the product more enjoyable to use.

We also improved the IA for user management and ACLs, allowing admins to quickly add users, assign roles flexibly (immediate or scheduled), and track user activities more effectively.
Retailer Solutions

Retailers interact with both vendors and end-users. We incorporated eCommerce design patterns and added features like new arrivals and discounts to the product list pages on their dashboard.

We redesigned the subscription flow to enable vendor comparison, payment management, and an overview of products and vendors.

At this point, we had plenty of grate information. I was brought in to create one. I outlined the project, prioritized features using a Feature-Matrix, and developed plans with IA and user flows for each component.
